System Development Work
Description: The objective of this specific consultancy project was to assist the Agency to carry out a detailed assessment of the system development work being undertaken by the Reserve Bank of India and the Indian Commercial Banks to resolve weakness in two broad areas: i) the processing of Government receipts and disbursements and the related RBI account maintenance systems, and ii) the approach being adopted by RBI to satisfy the evolving needs of the commercial banks and their customers for cost justifiable domestic electronic funds transfer (EFT) mechanisms. Completion report in December 1998.
